Scope and operator

CigWarts is an owner-operated Instagram research integration based in Germany. Responsible operator: Çağrı Ünlü, operating the CigWarts project; contact: glaner306@gmail.com. Operator service address: Schmidstr. 2H 10179 Berlin Germany. Contact: glaner306@gmail.com.

The integration is personally operated for the owner's research and experimentation, with possible future commercial use. There is currently no registered company and there are no customers. These documentation pages do not offer public account registration, a public inbox or a commercial messaging service. CigWarts is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta.

Current and intended use

CigWarts receives and authenticates Instagram events from Meta. General message collection is disabled and enrollment is closed. Future collection is intended to accept research messages, shared links and notes from one explicitly authorized sender and keep them privately. This requires separate activation.

Automatic association of related messages and later owner-authorized AI analysis are not currently active features. There is no automatic analysis, publishing or downloading of linked content. Visiting these pages, accepting a tester invitation or sending an ordinary DM does not authorize research collection.

Appropriate use and limitations

Only the explicitly authorized participant may contribute research records after collection is enabled. Do not submit credentials, unnecessary sensitive information or information you have no right to share. Stored links do not grant rights to third-party content. Do not attempt to bypass security or sender restrictions.

Delivery depends on Instagram and hosting availability. Events can be delayed, duplicated or unavailable. Do not use this integration for urgent communications or assume a message was stored. The operator may suspend operation for security or maintenance. No payment or service-level commitment is offered. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
